The Essay Atelier was founded by a small group of UAE-based editors and academic writers who'd watched the market drift in two unhelpful directions: very cheap mass-produced essays from anonymous content farms, and ChatGPT drafts dressed up to look bespoke. Neither served the actual student.

What we do

We write original academic work — essays, dissertations, theses, coursework, research papers, personal statements — for students at UAE universities. The brief comes to us; the work goes back to you. Every word is drafted by a human writer who holds a real degree in the subject. Then it goes through editorial review and a Turnitin similarity + AI report before it ever leaves the studio.

How we work

A brief arrives via WhatsApp or email. An editor reads it twice — once for the explicit ask, once for the implicit one (the rubric, the citation style, the module's earlier feedback). We match the brief to a writer who has actually studied the field, set a delivery clock, and start drafting. You see drafts. You ask for revisions. We rework them. No drama, no counting drafts.

Why human-only writing matters in 2026

Turnitin's AI Writing detector has been publicly available since April 2023 and is integrated into the marking workflow at most UAE universities now. A great deal of work submitted by other writing services is being silently flagged. The only reliable way to write work that doesn't trip the detector is to not use the tools that the detector is trained on. So we don't. Our writers draft in plain word processors, with their own brains, the way academic writing has been done for several hundred years.

What we don't do

We don't outsource to anonymous content farms, we don't recycle templates, we don't draft with ChatGPT or Claude or Gemini, and we don't take work from clients whose institutional integrity rules we couldn't square with. We are not a sit-the-exam-for-you service.

Where we are

Online. There is no The Essay Atelier office on a tower floor in Business Bay. Every editor, every writer, and every brief flows through the studio's encrypted system. Students reach us by WhatsApp or email, briefs arrive as attached PDFs, drafts return the same way. This is deliberate — it keeps our overhead low, our confidentiality watertight, and our coverage uniform across all seven emirates.

We made a choice: a smaller, slower, more careful studio. Fewer briefs, more time per brief. It costs us volume; it gives back something the rest of the industry has forgotten.
