Engineering

Engineering coursework writing is unusual in that the writing is often the lowest-weighted part of the assessment. The numbers, the diagrams, the calculations — those carry the grade. But the report still has to be coherent: methodology has to be defensible, results have to be presented in a way the marker can verify, and the discussion has to read like an engineer wrote it, not a copywriter.

IEEE format dominates electrical and computer engineering programs. ASME and ASCE conventions appear in mechanical and civil. Harvard is acceptable across most UAE engineering programs for the report-writing component.
